END-OF-LIFE SERVICES
As an end-of-life doula, I work with a dying person, their family, friends, and caregivers in the last months of life to support them emotionally, spiritually, and physically. I can provide information and advocacy to help the dying person and others make choices about, or understand the nature of, the dying process.
Services are unique to each client but might include exploration of life meaning through a structured life review, assistance with a legacy project, guided imagery sessions, and holding space for the wishes of the client.
I have experience advocating with clinicians, extended family, and caregivers in regard to client wishes about care, atmosphere, and involvement at their bedside. I can assist with repositioning, changing bed sheets, or applying a cool compress.
Post-vigil, I am available to assist with funeral planning and grief support. All services are available on a sliding scale to make them available to as many people as possible. Please email me at mcgrath.mosto@gmail.com for more information.
I have an MS in Counseling, International End-Of-Life Doula Association (INELDA) training, and am a volunteer at Hudson Valley Hospice.
